Eagle City Park is a 35 acre privately owned recreational gold prospecting / small scale mining park located in the Coeur d'Alene National Forest at the old townsite of Eagle City in North Idaho.

Eagle City Park is 25 miles from Interstate 90 via the Coeur d'Alene River Road from Kingston, Idaho (Exit 43). The park is between Prichard and historic Murray, Idaho.

Eagle City was the site of the first gold rush to the Coeur d'Alene's and still holds the imagination of those who visit.

Eagle City Park promotes the hobby of recreational gold prospecting / small scale mining and is the home base of the NorthWest Gold Prospectors Assn.

We have 2000 feet of gold bearing gravels in and along Eagle Creek. Access is easy as the site is mostly level.

Visitors and members can enjoy a wide range of activities including:

Gold Panning / Sluicing / Sniping / Metal Detecting / Outdoor Recreation / Relaxing and Best of all "You Keep All The Gold You Find!"

The Park is open weekdays by appointment only (call 208-699-8128 or 208-682-4661) and on weekends from June thru October. Fee is $10 per day per family or $20 per weekend per family which includes setting up on Friday. A gate card for ingress & egress during your stay will be given to visitors upon registering. Limited dry camping is available. Reservations are recommended.

When visiting, please park to the LEFT as you pull into the Park. Proceed on foot to the visitor center, just past the gate. If closed, use the microphone to the Left of the door to call Bob or PeeWee. If available, someone will come out to meet you. If not, please call 208-699-8128 or 208-682-4661. It is best to call these numbers ahead for visits during the week.
